There is a huge difference between a photographer and a photo taker.  A skilled photographer is not just taking a photo.  Photography is a skill that must be respected.  Everyone can take a photo, but not everyone can produce an image that will stick in your memories forever.

In the old days a photographer was a highly respected professional as there was a lot more skill (and money) involved in the art of photography.  Today, the industry is a little different.  With affordable entry-level cameras and smart phones the art of photography has been diluted immensely and the respect that a photographer enjoyed in the past is replaced by people expecting professional photography for very little money or even in some cases for free!  Here are a few ways to respect your photographer.
